What do I need to make it work?
This question I am asked all the time. The simple answer is, a little thought, some time, a bit of guidence, and some tools which are easily used by anyone.
However, if we can meet these 6 objectives, we’re on the way to a site that will have the right kind of content:
- Do I trust you?
- Do I believe you?
- Do you understand my needs?
- Whats in it for me?
- What do you want from me? (how can I help/serve/be used/support?)
- Is it worth it?
I believe these criteria are about honesty, integrity, the way we present ourselves, and whether we provide the right kind of information, that is, are we answering the questions our visitors are asking?
Once we have this sorted out, we are on the way to deciding what, where, and how we can use our site
